Father describes ‘deafening silence’ after crying out for wife, son who died in horror truck smash

A grieving father has told a court of his anguish at having to repeatedly tell his son, who had traumatic brain injuries, that half his family had died in a horror smash.

Jessica West, 37, and her son, Deighton, five, were killed when a prime mover, driven by Michael Knowler, ploughed into their car in December 2019.
