The most stand-out thing to me that makes me love this is the camera angle. Its so much more immersive having the camera fairly close and behind the character in an exploration-based game.
I know Pokemon is mostly the battles, but I feel they focus too much on that these days and severely neglect the role the environments play in appreciating the journey.
