A motorcyclist who dived into the dam into which the family’s 4WD had plunged moments earlier said he was losing hope of finding children in the murky water, until he felt a small arm and leg.
Mark Green, who is also a hobby diver, was riding his motorcycle with his wife from Boonah when he saw a broken roadside barrier and the flooded car in Wyaralong Dam.
“I pulled my bike over and heard someone scream,” he said.
“The father of the children was screaming in the water that his kids were in the car. I think the dad had a broken leg but he was trying to get the door…
