Family identify man killed in alleged one-punch Origin night attack
A spokesperson for Australian Venue Co, which operates the hotel, said their thoughts were with Mr Kenworthy’s family.
Luke Kenworthy died following an altercation at Caboolture’s Sundowner Hotel on Wednesday night
“We can confirm there was an incident at the Sundowner Hotel last night however we cannot provide further comment while the investigation is in the hands of the Queensland Police Service,” they said.
The 29-year-old now charged with unlawful striking causing death, who was tracked down by police on nearby Pasturage Road almost two hours later, was due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court.
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
