Families reunite after making it to Perth by ‘skin of their teeth’ before WA border slammed shut

- Others had their travel plans ruined when the hard border was reinstated with NSW
- Many SA families made a last minute dash to get to WA
By chance, courtesy of a flight booking made 11 months ago, the Sydneysiders made it to Western Australia on the last day before strict travel rules were implemented because of the northern beaches COVID outbreak.
Had they been booked to travel to Perth just a few hours later, they would have had to isolate for 14 days away from loved ones.
Had it been a couple of days later, they would not have been allowed in at all.
Instead, they are getting to experience…
