Face masks have been made compulsory to wear at Victorian race meetings for those unable to socially distance – and work is underway on whether jockeys will soon be compelled to wear them.
As part of a raft of new biosecurity racing protocols, as a result of Victoria’s worsening COVID-19 crisis, from Saturday face masks will have to be worn “at all Victorian race meetings for those that may not always be able to socially distance and maintain 1.5 metres between themselves and others.”
