Explained: The $3b, five-team Premier League scramble for football’s ultimate prize

The Premier League title has been confirmed and so have the identities of the three relegated teams, so for the majority of the clubs the season is effectively over with nothing else to play for.
But for five teams, the biggest financial prize of the season a share of more than $3bn is still very much up for grabs.
Just 10 points separates third-placed Leicester and seventh-placed Tottenham, with all of the teams in between dreaming of claiming a seat at Europes top table.
