Struggling mum and dad small businesses can learn how to get back on their feet through a unique webinar hosted by TV star Mike Goldman.
A panel of small business experts will reveal latest Federal Government incentives for small businesses affected by the unprecedented COVID 19 pandemic.
They will also offer tips on how to manage the emotional aspect when a business is struggling – and how to foster a positive mindset to turn the business around.
The free Webinar will be held at noon AEST on Wednesday, March 3.
“More than a third of Aussie businesses expected to find it difficult or very difficult to meet financial commitments last year and since then, they’ve faced lockdowns, diminishing government subsidies and staff shortages,” one of Australia’s leading liquidators, Brendan Nixon, said.
“It’s time we help small business move forward. They’re the backbone of the Australian economy, and we need to do everything we can to support them and we hope this webinar will be one step towards doing that,” Nixon, a partner with SM Solvency Accountants, said
Joining Mr Nixon on the panel will be Geof Alexander, Senior Director at ZiP Co; Strategic Solutions’ Managing Director Cheryl Stainsby and The Australian’s business journalist David Ross.
Mr Alexander said: “Small business is what underpins our economy and over the last year they have been smashed by COVID. This webinar is an important forum in understanding what has happened, the issues we need to confront, and how we can work together to support our SMBs to right themselves and keep growing.”
The panel will share practical tips and tools that can instantly make a difference to a struggling small business.
Mr Nixon added: “Struggling small businesses owners should prepare cash flow forecasts as a defence to any future insolvent trading claims. This is difficult to do with the constant threat of lockdowns, but if possible, a solid step towards staying viable.”
