The ‘surprise’ Hawthorn star who could follow

Hawthorn great Shane Crawford says the re-signing of veteran Shaun Burgoyne, who will aim to reach the magical 400-game mark in season 2021, gave the club no option but to show the door to a number of club greats.
Hawthorn on Monday announced premiership duo Ben Stratton and Paul Puopolo would both retire from the game at the end of the season.
Stratton, 31, is the current captain of the club having been appointed the position at the start of the 2019 season.
