New Zealand Warriors winger Ken Maumalo says he idolised Manu Vatuvei as a boy from Auckland with a rugby league dream, watching on in awe of the club icon’s unbridled spirit, phenomenal try-scoring feats and explosive runs.
Maumalo now credits the Warriors legend, with whom he played during his first three years in the NRL, as “a big part of my career” as he closes in on his 100th game.
