Exclusive: Elderly fall victims having to wait six hours for ambulances dealing with Covid patients – Telegraph.co.uk
The delays are due to paramedics having to prioritise 999 calls from people suffering from coronavirus related breathing difficulties
The crisis is particularly acute in London where the capitals busiest facility, the Royal London Hospital, has only one nurse for every three Covid patients being treated in intensive care, leaked correspondence shows.
The facility in east London has reached disaster medicine mode and is no longer able to provide adequate critical care, according to management.
