Impressed legend’s verdict on Test prospect
Cameron Green has been hailed as possibly Australia’s best young prospect since Ricky Ponting, but Test legend Ian Chappell sees a quality in the Western Australian wonder that has gone under the radar.
Green continued to mount a strong case for a Test debut on his way to 125 not out in Australia A’s three-day match against India A at Drummoyne Oval.
The 21-year-old finished with 12 fours, a six and a healthy strike-rate of 61.88, and played some glorious drives through cover and over bowlers’ heads.
