Ex-health minister Jenny Mikakos slams ‘failed’ Victorian coronavirus hotel quarantine inquiry, accuses Daniel Andrews of ‘deflection’
Victoria’s former health minister Jenny Mikakos has accused Premier Daniel Andrews of political deflection over the inquiry into the state’s bungled hotel quarantine program.

- Mr Andrews yesterday said if Ms Mikakos was still health minister, he would have expected her resignation
- Ms Mikakos said the inquiry failed to answer key questions and called for the Premier’s phone records to be released
- The Coate inquiry found the health department was the control agency of the hotel quarantine program
The final report into the flawed program was handed down yesterday and found private security should not have been used in the hotels, and that no-one has taken ownership of the decision to engage them.
