Ex-Godolphin talent Chenier stormed onto the Hong Kong racing scene when impressing against fellow former Aussie stars Shadow Hero and Eric The Eel at Sha Tin on Sunday.
Chenier, now racing under the name Enrich Delight, was outstanding on his Hong Kong debut after surging late to snatch the Class Two Chevalier Property Investment Handicap (1400m).
The former Anthony Freedman-trained galloper was sold to Hong Kong in April for a seven-figure sum and is now trained by Caspar Fownes.
