Everything you need to know about the Tasmanian council by-elections

Thousands of Tasmanians will this week cast their votes in three council by-elections prompted by the May state election and a retirement of a long-serving mayor.

It means that by the end of the week, three councils will each have a new mayor and a new councillor.
