Europe is furious with the UK over vaccine supplies. So why is Australia being punished?

Europe and the UK are locked in a dispute over COVID-19 vaccine supplies, yet so far Australia remains the only country to have faced an export ban on an expected shipment of AstraZeneca doses.
The European Union says its 27 member states are getting a raw deal – exporting millions of vaccines to the world without getting any back.
Unless AstraZeneca provides more doses to Europe, the European Commission could allow its members to ban further exports.
But with influential countries like Germany calling for calm, how likely are they to follow through on their threat?
And now that AstraZeneca vaccines are being manufactured in Melbourne, will it really matter to Australia?
