Essendon’s McKenna announces retirement – SEN
He will return home to Ireland.

Conor McKenna has announced his retirement from AFL football, effective immediately.
The Essendon defender has called time on his career after 79 games with the Bombers.
McKenna, 24, has made the decision to return home to Ireland.
I do really feel the time is now right for me to return home to Ireland, McKenna said in a statement released by the club.
Ive made no secret of the fact that at some point, Id want to be returning home to my family and Ive been weighing up the decision recently….
