Essendon’s Conor McKenna has played his last game for the Bombers

CONOR McKenna has told teammates his AFL career is over.
The Bombers speedster informed the club on Tuesday morning that he would be returning to Ireland, with his retirement effective immediately.
It marks the end of a tumultuous season for McKenna who is the only AFL player who has tested positive to COVID-19.
He has played 79 games for Essendon since joining the club at the end of 2014, but has battled homesickness throughout his time in Australia.
