Netflix might have had mixed reviews for Emily in Paris, but for those who binged-watched it, one thing was clear: it was chock full of clichés.
The series, which follows Lily Collins’ Emily Cooper, a young woman from Chicago who’s whisked to Paris to help revamp the social-media strategy for a luxury French marketing firm, sees everything from the French’s distain for working, to an American’s complete lack of tact.
