As Melburnians emerge from a second round of tough, COVID-induced lockdown, life is a long way off returning to normal or even “COVID normal”.
But there are pockets of the city bursting back to life, according to a collection of datasets which track human activity.
Mobility data published by Google, which compares an average day before the pandemic to now, can be used to explore how movement has changed since the easing of restrictions began late in October.
