Emergency services faced a tough challenge yesterday afternoon when a bushwalker injured their leg in a mountainous area of Stanthorpe. After a few hours and plenty of teamwork, the patient was safely in an ambulance on the way to hospital.
Cases in remote areas such as this highlight how beneficial it is to have a hiking partner or a personal locator beacon. At the very least, make sure someone knows where you are going and an approximate time of when you'll return.
