Emergency services are backing community calls for a communication tower to be built at Teewah Beach.
The push comes after four people lost their lives along the stretch of beach last year, including a teen
who was killed in a 4WD rollover and three people who drowned. The Noosa Local Disaster Management Group is applying for Federal Blackspot Program funding with most of the area currently without phone reception or a working radio tower.
