On Wednesday, Page announced on Twitter he was transgender, saying I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.
The statement went on to say he felt profoundly happy but was also scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the jokes and the violence that was sure to come. Page acknowledged the 40 transgender people he said had been murdered this year and vowed to not stay…
