Insiders say the perks and a direct address from Ellen have started to improve morale following months of silence from the top over the workplace culture.

A teary Ellen Degeneres apologised to staff on her popular talk show before producers unveiled a series of new perks aimed at boosting morale following an investigation into allegations the shows workplace culture was toxic.
Staff at The Ellen Degeneres Show will now get five paid days off to use how they want, birthdays off and paid time off for doctors appointments and family matters.
Ellen DeGeneres took part in a virtual call to apologise to staff about what had happened on her watch.
