Though it seems like decades since season 1 of Grey’s Anatomy was on the air, Ellen Pompeo still has some on-set stories to tell.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel following the show’s season 17 premiere, she spoke about one particularly dumb rule from the early days.
Apparently the show’s network, ABC, wouldn’t let cast members say the word “vagina,” even though it’s a medical term, and there was no issue with the word “penis”.
