Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have been victims of a home burglary at their Montecito home over 4th of July weekend.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the theft unfolded “due to the victim’s celebrity status”, TMZ reported on July 23 (US Time).
It’s not clear what the value of items stolen amounted to, but the police said that high-value jewellery and watches were taken.
