Eleven protected crested tern birds fatally mowed down on Bribie Island beach

A speeding driver has killed 11 birds in a deliberate rampage on a beach near Brisbane, authorities believe.
The crested terns were found on Ocean Beach on Bribie Island on May 5.
Two more birds were injured and had to be euthanised.
