Elderly Varsity Lakes man accused of murdering his wife has ‘serious health issues’, lawyer says
The lawyer for an 82-year-old man accused of murdering his wife at their Gold Coast home, says the case should be dealt with quickly as his client has “serious health issues”.

The body of Robyn Beever, 82, was found by her daughter in the garage of the couple’s Varsity Lakes home on February 25.
Maxwell Beever was also at home and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in custody, under police guard.
