Elderly man, 88, charged with attempted murder of woman west of Brisbane

An elderly man has been charged with the attempted murder of a woman west of Brisbane.

Neighbours heard a disturbance and called to a home in Eastern Heights, Ipswich, about 6.30pm on Monday.

Police were told an 88-year-old man had allegedly attempted to strangle a 33-year-old woman.
