Eagles dock while Freo sets sail for future success – The Age
Fremantle now has one of the best young lists, while West Coast’s ageing list has peaked and they gave up a lot for Tim Kelly in a quest for quick success.
Bragging rights will lie with Fremantle fans after the 2021 AFL season ends, as cross-town rivals West Coast find the going only tougher on their ageing stars.
Despite a premiership for the Eagles and coach Adam Simpson in 2018 it is the Dockers, under the tutelage of second-year coach Justin Longmuir and with finally some depth on their list, who look likely to next lift the premiership cup.
