Dylan Lewis joins Double J as Weekends presenter – ABC News
He takes the reins from Caz Tran, who’s stepping up to present The J Files.

Were playing a bit of musical chairs here on Double J.
Were clearing a more permanent seat for Dylan Lewis, who is taking over Double J Weekends for the rest of 2020.
One of Australias funniest, most unique and brilliant broadcasters, youve already heard Dylan on the Double J airwaves, presenting Mornings overs summer and recently filling in for Tim Shiel on Arvos.
But were stoked to announced that hes going to be taking over the airwaves 9am-12pm every Saturday and Sunday from 18 July until the end of the year.
We first fell in love with Dylan when he hosted Recovery and The 10.30 Slot in the late-90s and since then hes proven theres no media he cant inject with his one-of-a-kind personality.
Hes hosted Video Hits, conquered Celebrity Big Brother in 2002, and is an ACRA awarded radio host for his work on NOVA.
“I bloody love Double J,” Dylan says. “It feels like Aunty designed it just for me! It plays the music I love, and the presenters are all passionate about the music in the way I am.
“I feel very lucky and proud to be a part of the Double J family again. Im home. I started out 25 years ago at the ABC doing a music show on a Saturday morning – and now Im back on the weekends doing it again. Pretty neat huh?!”

Renowned for bringing an inviting sense of silliness to everything he does, Dylans got a keen sense of musical insight to match his huge fun factor. And we cant wait to hear how he rings in our weekend mornings this year.
As we welcome Dylan Lewis, we also wave a temporary farewell to Gemma Pike.
The hostess with the mostest of both The J Files and the Inside The Big Day Out podcast, Gemma is taking a break to welcome a brand new music fan into the world, and will be back with more of the music you love in 2021.
Stepping up to take over The J Files for the rest of 2020 will be Caz Tran. Shell bring together artists and fans at 8pm Thursdays to share and explore the stories behind the music you love.
Shes hosted Double J Weekends since Double Js inception six years, sharing the best tunes, news, interviews and live music recordings from the triple j archives.
While Caz hands the Weekends reins to Dylan Lewis, youll still catch her incredible music storytelling on The J Files and Classic Albums, helping you to rediscover a record that changed your life (or a new record that will) 8pm on Mondays.
One of the countrys best music journos and historians of Australian music, Caz has been within the triple j family for almost 20 years. She previously hosted Super Request, Lunch and Weekend Breakfast, as well as Home and Hosed.
