Dylan Alcott ‘proud’ to win fourth straight Australian Open doubles title with Heath Davidson

Dylan Alcott and Heath Davidson have clinched another major championship following their victory in the Australian Open quad wheelchair doubles final.

The Australian top seeds beat Briton Andy Lapthorne and American David Wagner 6-2, 3-6 [10-7] on Margaret Court Arena to claim their fourth consecutive doubles title in Melbourne.

The win is Alcott’s eighth major doubles crown.

Alcott said winning alongside his close friend Davidson added significance to the victory.
