Dumped boats in crosshairs of push to save waterways

Since the Palaszczuk Government’s War on Wrecks program started in July 2018, 439 derelict vessels have been removed by MSQ and partner agencies with 304 vessels removed or repaired either by owners or others, up until the end of January this year.War on Wrecks chair Kim Richards said arrangements for the removal of another 38 vessels are underway with tender contracts awarded, under evaluation or out to market.“We are still looking at 360 vessels of interest which are either derelict or have the…
