‘Drunken’ man extinguishes eternal flame in Brisbane’s Anzac Square

Magistrate Anne Thacker was scathing in her remarks.
“You need to pay a fine, and a hefty one at that. It’s a very, very fragile and emotional, touchy subject. There is only a few ways it [the eternal flame] can be protected, we shouldn’t even have to have a fence,” she said.
