A man’s drug-fuelled joy ride caused a nightmare for a Brisbane family when the stolen car he was driving slammed head-on into another vehicle, a court has been told.

Jordan Joseph Cubby killed father-of-one Shahid Islam and another person before spitting blood and saliva at a police officer.

He pleaded guilty in a Brisbane court on Monday to two counts of manslaughter and a string of other charges relating to offences committed in October last year.
