Drought loan funds still pending a year after applying, and this farmer is fed up with excuses

At the height of the drought, described by many as the worst in living memory, Sally White spent her days feeding cattle and ensuring they had enough water to survive.

Most days, it would be 14 to 15 hours’ work on the Angus cattle property she runs with her husband, Andrew, near Guyra on the NSW Northern Tablelands.

“By the end of last year we were feeding approximately a B-double load of hay a week to livestock,” Ms White said.
