Drivers be aware, back to school this Wednesday

Police are encouraging Sunshine Coast drivers to remember that school starts back on Wednesday, January 27, and that 40km/h school zones will be in force.
School zones in Queensland operate between 7am – 9am and 2pm and 4pm, unless special circumstances have been granted by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The school zone speed limit is designed to ensure motorists have a greater chance to react if something unexpected happens.
Police are urging drivers to keep an eye out for school zones
Children can be impulsive, unpredictable and inexperienced, which is why police are asking motorists to exercise caution in the vicinity of a school.
