Driver trapped for 90 minutes, in critical condition after Brisbane crash

A man was trapped for 90 minutes in his SUV and needed resuscitation while he was in the wreck and when he was finally pulled out after a serious crash in Brisbane’s east early on Monday.
Paramedics responded after reports a vehicle had crashed into a tree about 1.40am on the Gateway Motorway at the Wynnum Road exit.
The man, in his 30s, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and suffered head and leg injuries.
Queensland Ambulance Service medical director Stephen Rashford said the man was trapped for about 90 minutes before he was extricated from the vehicle.
“He suffered multiple injuries to his body including complex injuries to his lower limbs,” Mr Rashford said.
