A woman has died in hospital six days after she was injured in a multi-vehicle crash at McLaren Vale, with the driver who was allegedly responsible now facing an upgraded charge.

The 61-year-old Willunga woman was a passenger in one of three cars involved in last Sunday’s crash south of Adelaide.

SA Police said the Nissan Pulsar was hit by a black Subaru which then hit another Subaru at the intersection of Main and McMurtrie roads about 5:40pm.
