Driver rushed to hospital as crash closes road in Brisbane’s north

A man is fighting for life in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Brisbane’s north that emergency services believe was the result of a medical episode.
Emergency services, including critical care and high acuity response were called to Kedron Brook Road at Wilston just before 9am on Thursday.
The driver was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The road was closed to all traffic between Fifth Avenue and York Street until about 10.30am.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said it was suspected the patient had a medical event, which caused the crash.
