Driver charged with causing death of teenager Ivy-Rose Hughes in McLaren Vale car crash

The driver of the car in which young Adelaide netballer, Ivy-Rose Hughes, was killed in February has been charged with causing the teenager’s death.

Ms Hughes was a passenger in a Mazda station wagon which collided head-on with a Mitsubish ute at the intersection of Main and Binney roads at McLaren Vale about 10:00pm on February 24.

The 19-year-old from Banksia Park died at the scene and seven other people were taken to hospital.
