DRENCHED IN INFAMY
If there’s one snake that conjures up horror images, tall tales and urban myth – it’s this snake
The Mulga snake (Pseudechis australis) sometimes commonly referred to as a King Brown.
It’s hard to believe that such infamy can arise from a snake that has been involved in very few human fatalities in recorded history. And certainly none since Y2K – so why is there so much fear surrounding this snake?
Certainly one aspect about this snake gets the imagination going and that is it’s ability to flatten its neck out like a cobra and lunge defensively toward a perceived threat
But does that make it dangerous? Because it can try and make itself bigger against a much larger and imposing predator (being us) to try…
