Dragons’ $250k plan to target SBW as Roosters ‘internally’ discuss move for $10m star – Fox Sports
The Dragons are considering using salary cap dispensation for stood down star Jack de Belin to entice Sonny Bill Williams to join the club for the rest of 2020, if the former Origin forward remains sidelined.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Dragons preference was for De Belin, who is sidelined under the NRLs no-fault stand down policy to play for the club this season.
However with just 10 games to go and with Toronto players in limbo due to the Wolfpacks decision to leave the Super League, the Dragons are preparing a $250,000 contingency plan.
