My wife Clare and I are locked in a small room – only nine by four – with a security guard outside to make sure we don’t get out.
We are not allowed to visit visitors and lukewarm meals are delivered in brown paper bags three times a day (7am, noon and 5pm), with fresh linen and towels at the door once a week.
We are not in prison, as it sounds, but we are undergoing a pretty extreme form of lockdown in Australia, where we come to make a documentary series for Australian television.
