Australian shares are set to begin their day relatively flatas US tech stocks fell sharply, but the Dow Jones index closed at its highest level ever.
Meanwhile, National Australia Bank (NAB) has reported that its half-year profit more than doubled, thanks to the Australian and New Zealand economies having a “better than expected” COVID rebound.
Amazon, Netflix and Facebook were among the biggest drags on the US market overnight, after dipping more than 1 per cent each.
