When US President Donald Trump leaves office on January 20, he may hold the record for the most federal executions in more than a century.

Trump’s administration has put 10 people to death since July, when Republicans resumed federal executions after a 17-year hiatus.

Three more are scheduled to die before he departs.

The last time executions occurred in a lame-duck period was during the presidency of Grover Cleveland in the 1890s; his administration put 14 people to death that year.

With 13 executions, Trump will cement his legacy as the most prolific execution president since Cleveland.
