A new study from the University of Chicago indicates that a lack of vitamin D could lead to more severe cases of the novel coronavirus.
Whats going on?
The new research found that having an untreated vitamin D deficiency increases a patients likelihood of testing positive for the novel coronavirus by 77%, per Yahoo News.
The research published Thursday by JAMA Network Open reviewed 489 patients at the University of Chicago who had their vitamin D levels measured within the last year.
