Former NRL star Ben Barba has escaped a criminal conviction after assaulting his brother-in-law but not before receiving a brutal dressing down in court.
The 2012 NRL Dally M medal winner was remanded in custody overnight earlier this week after being involved in a fight with his brother-in-law, Adrian Currie.
He pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm, breaching bail conditions and failing to complete a community service order, according to a Fox Sports report.
