Disability advocates in four-year battle with Parliament Square developers over lift

Disability advocates say they believe developers behind one of Tasmania’s most prominent projects have now spent more money fighting against installing an accessible lift than it would have cost them to put it in initially.

The developers of the $220 million Parliament Square redevelopment have been locked in a four-year battle with disability advocate David Cawthorn over claims the development discriminates against people with mobility issues.
