Did you know that there have been over 2,000 reports of scams involving impersonations of the Department of Home Affairs.

If you receive a robocall pretending to be from a government department, such as the ATO or Department of Home Affairs — hang up immediately and report it to ACCC Consumer Rights’ Scamwatch: http://spr.ly/6186Gla3u
The scammer may claim something illegal has been committed in the victim’s name or that the victim is under investigation or subject to an arrest warrant because of problems with their immigration papers or visa status.
